What is HSA or FSA and how can I save 40% by purchasing Suji with one?

A Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) are tax-advantaged accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax money to pay for eligible healthcare expenses. These accounts are often provided through employers or private plans and can be used for medical devices, treatments, and wellness products—potentially including Suji.

Since HSA and FSA funds are pre-tax, purchasing Suji with an HSA or FSA can effectively save you up to 40%, depending on your tax bracket. Here’s how it works:

  1. Use Pre-Tax Dollars – If you purchase Suji using your HSA/FSA, you’re using income that hasn’t been taxed.
  2. Avoid Paying Income Tax – Normally, you pay taxes on income before spending it. By using HSA/FSA funds, you bypass income tax on the amount spent.
  3. Potentially Reduce Your Taxable Income – If you contribute to an HSA, it may lower your taxable income for the year, leading to further savings.

Calibration and Compression Levels

Calibration is a critical process of establishing your safe working pressures. During calibration hundreds of thousands of measurements are being taken throughout ten stages. The total process take no more than 90 seconds and from these measurements we establish safe compression levels that account for each individuals physiology. From here, relative compression levels (displayed as %'s) are set during use.

Compression levels are set based on a percentage (displayed as X% in the Suji App) of your maximum safe compression level.

It is very important for safety that you do not use Suji without calibrating or by using another person's calibration data. At any time recalibration can be completed in the Profile section of the Suji App.

Integrating Apple Health

Soon you will be able to integrate Apple Health with Suji App to read and write data. Feature release date coming soon.

Suji & medical conditions

How can Suji reduce joint pain sensitivity and optimise muscle recovery?

Reduced Pain Sensitivity: Suji’s technology promotes increased blood flow and the release of endorphins, which helps reduce joint pain sensitivity and provides immediate relief during and after use.

Low Stress While Strengthening: With continous use, you will perform effective strengthening exercises at lower loads, minimizing strain on your joints while still achieving muscle-strengthening benefits.

Enhanced Recovery: By stimulating the body’s natural healing response, Suji accelerates muscle recovery through boosted growth hormone levels and improved circulation, helping you feel stronger and recover faster.

How can Suji help improve blood flow with compression?

While Targeted Compresion Training temporarily reduces blood flow to the muscles during exercise, blood flow is enhanced after the compression is released. Here's how:

  1. During use: Suji's technology applies controlled pressure (compression) to reduce blood flow to working muscles. This creates a hypoxic (low-oxygen) environment that stimulates the muscles more intensely, even with lighter exercise.

  2. After use: Once the compression is released, there’s a rush of oxygen-rich blood (which carry pain relieving endorphines) back to the muscles, a process called reactive hyperemia. This increase in blood flow helps deliver essential nutrients, remove waste products like lactic acid, and support the body’s recovery processes.

This controlled cycle of compression and release is key to reduce pain sensitivity and stregthen muscles.

Consulting healthcare providers before use

Targeted Compression Training (scientifically known as Blood Flow Restriction training) is widely regarded as safe. Before starting, review and complete the contraindication checklist. If you’re unsure or have concerns, consult a medical professional to ensure safe and effective use.
