So ive struggled with shin splints and knee pain for years, so much so that I had to take a break from running for a few years. I finally got into the NYC marathon and am running it this fall (bucket list goal of mine!!) and I started training about ~2 months ago. Usually I would go on a long run (anything more than 3 miles) and have horrible shin splint pain and knee pain part way through my run and for days after, so I'd have to take a few days or a week off before I tried running again.
a friend told me to try out suji and im not exaggerating when I say this - my shin splint pain is GONE and my knee pain is SIGNIFICANTLY less, like 90% less. I use my sujis after every run for recovery and i have changed nothing else about my training or routine outside of incorporating suji, and i swear its changed not only running for me, but also my entire recovery routine and health of my leg muscles.
I ran the bay to breakers run in SF two weeks ago (~ 7.5 miles) without stopping, used suji afterward, and the next day went on a 5 mile run, and had no shin splints and only minor knee pain. A year ago, a 7.5 mile run would have put me out of commission for two weeks, and running a day later would have been out of the question.
seriously, thank you suji!! you have a lifelong customer.
I love@trysuji, I use it with my clients and in my own routine. It’s effective, empowering, and built for this exact stage of life.
